Достоевский, когда вдохновился на романъ трукраймомъ

Въ основу романа Достоевский положилъ громкое дело 1869 года объ убийстве Ивана Иванова членами революционного кружка «Народная расправа». Студентъ выступилъ противъ идей главы сообщества, нигилиста Сергея Нечаева. Тотъ, почувствовавъ угрозу своей власти, решилъ сплотить группу кровавой расправой. Программнымъ документомъ кружка былъ «Катехизисъ революционера», где впервые была сформулирована программа беспощадного террора ради «светлого будущего всего человечества».

Достоевский узналъ о деле изъ газетъ, внимательно читалъ статьи, касающиеся Нечаева и его помощниковъ. Сначала прозаикъ замыслилъ небольшой злободневный памфлетъ. Однако въ процессе работы усложнились сюжетъ и идея текста. Въ итоге получился трагический многостраничный романъ, который былъ опубликованъ въ 1872 году въ журнале «Русский вестникъ».

Dostoevsky when inspired by ‘true crime’ to write a novel

Dostoevsky based his novel on the high-profile case of the murder of Ivan Ivanov by members of the “Public Reprisal” revolutionary group in 1869. The student stood against the ideas of the community’s head, nihilist Sergey Nechaev. Feeling his power being compromised he decided to rally the group with a massacre. Their programme document was “A Revolutionary Catechism” which was the first articulated program of merciless terror for the sake of “bright future for all mankind”.

Dostoevsky read about the case in newspapers and carefully studied the articles concerning Nechaev and his assistants. At first the novelist conceived a small topical pamphlet. But as his work progressed the plot and the idea got more complicated. The result was a tragic multi-page novel published in “The Russian Bulletin” magazine in 1872.
