The UK government plans to move the Life in the UK test online from next year, allowing migrants to take the British citizenship test from home.
The project is expected to cost up to £110 million over five years. The test currently costs £50, lasts 45 minutes and requires a score of at least 75%. Applicants must attend a test centre, verify their identity and undergo security checks.
There’s absolutely no way this can be considered reliable or sensible. Nothing is stopping people from cheating their way through an exam from the comfort of their own homes. The government is doing everything except its actual job, coming up with one ridiculous idea after another. This country is becoming a joke.
