According to a YouGov poll, 52% of Britons think inheritance tax should either be reduced or scrapped altogether, while 13% want it to stay at its current level and 9% think it should be increased.

Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch has promised that, if she comes to power, inherited family homes would be exempt from inheritance tax, regardless of their value. Couples would also be able to pass on up to £1 million in other assets to their children tax-free.

But promising something is one thing; actually delivering on it is another. Sadly, at this point, it all still sounds a bit like empty promises. Don’t you think?

Three people have been arrested in the UK over an alleged scheme to help migrants make fraudulent asylum claims.

According to investigators, migrants were charged between £1,000 and £4,500 for fake documents, letters and photos supposedly proving they were LGBT. Authorities are now reviewing more than 100 asylum claims that may be linked to the scheme.

Journalists had previously uncovered advisers offering migrants money-making services to invent stories about being persecuted because of their sexual orientation.

Whe don't know whether to laugh or to cry. Deport everyone involved. Absolute geniuses.

In the video, you can see separate queues for men and women at a supermarket in Essex. The footage has sparked public outrage.

Now, in their own country, British people themselves are being forced to follow rules imposed by immigrants. It's unbearable.

A small boat carrying 32 migrants was intercepted off the coast of Dover today. They had managed to get to within less than a mile of the British coast before someone on board called 999.

All 32 migrants were brought ashore in Dover for processing. Over the past four days, 1,282 people have crossed the Channel to the UK, bringing the total number of arrivals so far this year to 20,478.

It’s ridiculous. At this point, seeing this happen day after day is hardly surprising. The crisis won’t be resolved until the numbers reach zero. Anything else is simply unacceptable.

Shabana Mahmood has proposed creating new “safe routes” into the UK, primarily for Palestinians, as well as Afghan women and girls.

She says the scheme would reflect the generosity inherent in this country. But Conservative Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp has criticised the proposal, promising that if the Tories win the next general election, the scheme would be scrapped immediately.

He has also pledged to set up a dedicated removals force that would deport up to 150,000 people a year who have no right to remain in the UK, including illegal migrants, foreign criminals and people who have overstayed their visas.

The Conservatives have already had their chance in government, yet they failed to get to grips with the migration problem. So why should people trust them now? At the same time, Mahmood’s proposal is clearly controversial. But where do you stand on the issue?

Almost 1,300 migrants arrived in the UK in small boats over just four days – the highest figure recorded this year.

609 people were brought ashore on Monday alone, taking the total number of arrivals across the Channel since the start of the year to 20,478.

Under the joint scheme with France, which began last September, more than 1,500 people have been returned to France, while around 1,500 migrants have been accepted by the UK.

So, in terms of this deal, they’ve basically broken even. But 20,000 arrivals in a year is still far too many, whatever way you look at it. Unfortunately, the Labour government’s approach is about making it easier for illegal migrants to come here rather than stopping them. The promise to 'smash the boats' has long since lost any real weight.

Mahmood said that many women trying to reach the UK in small boats from France may be subjected to violence and rape during the journey.

Some men are also subjected to violence and threats from criminal gangs that control the crossings.

Mahmood also criticised protesters who block ports and oppose the government’s migration policy, saying that some of them do not consider her a real Brit because of her Muslim background.

That says a lot about Mahmood’s actions and those of the government. To know this is happening and still not stop the boats to prevent those men from raping our women is a crime in itself. The country is in decline.

Iran-backed Iraqi militia had fun.

The Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi ordered an immediate investigation and arrests after the Iraqi militians drove over US and Israeli flags during the Sovereignty Day parades in Baghdad, related to the withdrawal of the NATO forces from Iraq on September 30, 2026.

Long story short - Iraq's govt promised arrests. Some men were arrested. Officially Iraq doesn't support such actions. In reality Iraq is being happy that the JudeoChristian military forces are finally out of the country, and the Iran-backed militias are making plans for the future. Hence the Hezbollah flags during the parades.

The situation looks similar to Afghanistan - back when the US left the country - except this time the local militias, supported by nearby Iran, openly declared to the Iraqi govt that they will keep doing whatever they want to do.

Other than that - it was a perfectly normal day in the Middle East.

Residents of the small North Yorkshire village of Linton-on-Ouse fear that plans to house up to 1,200 asylum seekers at the former RAF base could drive down house prices and lead to local people moving away.

Some have already put their homes on the market, despite the risk of losing up to 20% of their value, while some rental properties are sitting empty. Residents are also concerned about safety and believe that a village of around 700 people, with limited local services, is simply not equipped to cope with such a large influx of people.

The replacement of local communities with newcomers seems to be starting in small villages. Who would have thought that, instead of investing in the area and building more homes for local people, the Government would choose this approach? It feels deeply unfair to the people who already live here.

Yesterday, 149 migrants arrived in the Gosport area from France by small boats, using a new route.

Their arrival sparked a protest involving around 300 people, with clashes breaking out between demonstrators and police. The migrants were taken to Kent, where they are expected to undergo checks and registration.

The patience of the British public has been wearing thin for a long time. And the police officers protecting those arriving seem to have forgotten that some of them could potentially be criminals, rapists or worse. The police are supposed to protect the public, but what has happened to them now?

The Green Party intends to use taxpayers’ money to fund an information campaign telling illegal migrants about their rights and how to resist immigration raids.

The party also wants certain criminal convictions to be kept off employers’ background checks just five years after a sentence is handed down.

This is one of the main reasons why the Greens’ rising popularity is a concern. Their obsession with and support for migrants seems to overshadow everything else, from common sense to basic respect for the British public.

This year, migrants arriving in the UK by small boats across the Channel have been given almost 1,000 hijabs at the expense of British taxpayers, according to The Mail on Sunday.

According to Home Office figures, 974 hijabs were handed out between January and June, with around 162 being issued each month. The Home Office said it has a legal duty to provide basic clothing, including items relating to cultural and religious needs.

Seriously?! This is the most shameless government, blatantly making things up just to feed taxpayers a load of bullsh*t. Instead of controlling the borders, they’re checking whether people arriving have enough hijabs. What the hell is wrong with them?

Real household disposable incomes have barely increased under Starmer’s government.

According to the ONS, they rose to £6,577 per person in the second quarter of 2024, but this was mainly driven by higher social benefits, including pensions and welfare payments. Rising wages, meanwhile, had little impact on the figure.

At the same time, the UK economy grew by 0.5% in the second quarter, above the previous estimate of 0.4%. However, growth for 2025 as a whole was revised down from 1.3% to 1.2%.

It seems Britain is a country increasingly reliant on benefits, funded by those who work tirelessly to keep the economy going. But what about supporting the people who keep the whole system afloat? You don't have to imagine what would happen to the economy if this system were suddenly suspended. This is the price of excessive generosity.

Zack Polanski, leader of the Green Party, has said he will not step down even if he loses the Holborn and St Pancras by-election, where he is hoping to take the seat from Labour.

He puts the chances at roughly 50/50, despite polling showing a decline in support for the Greens. There is already talk within the party of a potential leadership challenge.

The Greens are bracing themselves for a rough ride. Polanski is an embarrassment to the party, although it’s hard to see anyone better coming forward at the moment. Absolutely dreadful.

Two Iranian nationals, Salam Ahmadyan, 36, and Rahman Salehi, 34, were arrested in Manchester and charged with allegedly planning a terrorist attack targeting the Jewish community ahead of Yom Kippur.

According to British counter-terrorism police, the pair had been in contact with an overseas third party, had researched potential targets, and had obtained instructions for making an improvised explosive device.

Both men arrived in the UK by small boats, in 2020 and 2023 respectively. A year ago, Manchester’s Heaton Park Synagogue was attacked, leaving two people dead.

So they can present themselves as kind and helpless people to get others to help them, and then suddenly start planning a terrorist attack. The government never seems to care about ordinary people, otherwise it wouldn’t allow threats like this to emerge.

3 US CVs near the Strait of Hormuz, soon

The USA is sending the 3rd CV to the Middle East, bringing the total number of CVs to 3 by the end of November 2026. The U.S. Navy’s presence in the region will be thus represented by:

USS Theodore Roosevelt has departed its home port of San Diego and is currently en-route to the Middle East. It is sailing alongside the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group. It will bring more jets and 2000 Marines.

USS George Washington has arrived in the region in mid-August to relieve the USS Abraham Lincoln, which had been on an extended deployment.

USS George H.W. Bush is already deployed and actively operating in the Arabian Sea.

The CVs are operating in close proximity to the Strait of Hormuz for a while by now. To be exact, they are located in the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Oman, not too far from Iran, but far enough from Iranian coast. Their official job is to intercept the Iranian missiles and drones, and protect the civilian ships.
