«Music is a language that brings people together, no matter where they come from,» says Aiko - and she’s only 11.
🇰🇪 Kenya at the «Our Generation» contest will be represented by none other than her -
Aiko Bett.
She’s growing up in a family where music is the air they breathe: her mom Monique sings and hosts shows, her dad Richard plays and performs, and her sister Zara and brother Liam never put their instruments down either. No wonder Aiko doesn’t even remember singing her first note - «for as long as I can remember,» she says herself.
For the contest, Aiko is bringing her own original song, «Born to Win» - about the idea that everyone is born to win, no matter what happens. And that’s pretty much how she lives, too: between rehearsals, she still finds time to write new songs, play the piano, and kick a ball around with her brother and sister.
Very soon, the whole world will hear her voice. We honestly can’t wait.
