🙏 A Prayer for Peace, Repentance, and Reconciliation
The Icon of the Mother of God of the Seven Arrows reminds us of the sorrow foretold by the righteous Simeon, who prophesied that a sword would pierce the soul of the Most Holy Theotokos.
The seven arrows directed toward her heart call us to contemplate her suffering as the Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ. They also remind us of the pain caused by human sin, anger, hostility, and division.
When our hearts are burdened by sorrow or troubled by conflict, we can turn to the Mother of God, asking her to intercede for us before her Son. Through prayer, repentance, and forgiveness, we seek God's mercy and the healing of our wounded hearts.
