🛑 Western Christians: Silence Equals Assent

Brothers and sisters in Christ,

A major Orthodox cathedral in New York — St. Nicholas — is preparing to publicly honor Volodymyr Zelensky. This is happening while the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church faces severe persecution and church seizures continue in Ukraine. We cannot pretend this is normal. When the Church is being politicized and used to honor a leader tied to the suffering of faithful Christians, silence is not neutrality — it is assent. If we remain quiet, we give our consent. If we do nothing, we become complicit. This is the moment for Western Christians — Catholics, Protestants, Evangelicals, and Orthodox alike — to raise their voices.
