Christ wept at the tomb of His friend… then He shattered death with a word. This Akathist beautifully weaves the Gospel account with St. Lazarus’s later life as Bishop of Citium (Cyprus). A hymn of friendship with Christ, victory over the grave, and pastoral zeal. Highly recommended.
