Rejoice, O Jesus son of Sirach, luminous lamp of wisdom!

A beautiful and rare devotional hymn has been composed in honor of the God-inspired author of the Book of Sirach (Ecclesiasticus). This wise teacher of Israel distilled the piety of the fathers into timeless maxims of godly fear, humility, moderation, mercy, and virtuous living — guidance we need so desperately today.

Written in the traditional form with Kontakia and Ikoi, this Akathist praises him as a bridge between the wisdom of Jerusalem and the challenges of his age, calling us to bridle our tongues, humble our hearts, and walk in the fear of the Lord.
