Open Letter to Medical Qualified Peers & MPs re Mandated Folic Acid Flour Fortification

As part of our "Protect Our Daily Bread" Campaign, UKMFA have joined with HART and the Perseus Group to write to all medically qualified Peers and MPs, outlining our concerns regarding the recent mandated fortification of flour with synthetic folic acid.

We laid out the flaws in the science and medical research that has been used to justify the mandate and highlighted the serious risk to public health that may result from this unethical mass medication of the public.

We urged them to press for a Parliamentary debate on the issue.

On 18 September there will be a showing of a new version of the film 'LAST MAN OUT' by Jonathan Kerr-Smith. Last Man Out is the story of William Rodriquez, janitor [caretaker] of the North Tower, and 20-year employee of the New York World Trade Center complex. William was awarded the US National Hero Award for his bravery, and for saving hundreds of lives, yet his testimony regarding what he and his team experienced that day was rejected by the 9/11 Commission of Inquiry.

Puerto Rico-born Rodriquez, a prominent figure in the US Hispanic community and an impressive magician has campaigned tirelessly over the years for justice and the Truth about 9/11 to prevail. Jon K-S's film, first shown in 2008. has been extensively updated in 2026, based on further input from First Responders, witnesses and survivors. It is in effect a new film and wil feature also in the 25th anniversary events in New York and Florida.

Speakers at the meeting will include Matt Campbell, whose brother Geoff perished in the North Tower on 9/11. Matt has been campaigning for over a decade for a new inquest to be opened on behalf for his brother. The case has reached the UK Supreme Court and will be heard on 14-15 October. "Our support is vital", says their leaflet.
