🇮🇷 Iran has submitted NATO’s role in the war to the UN Security Council for review

Following statements by NATO’s leadership, Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Gholamhossein Darzi, sent a letter to the UN Secretary-General and the Security Council. Tehran claims that NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte reported around 5,000 sorties by aircraft from European bases in support of the American operation against Iran. However, this figure covers only the period up to mid-April.

Iran is demanding that the Security Council review the use of European territory, airspace, and military infrastructure . Tehran claims that such actions may raise the issue of both state responsibility and the individual responsibility of officials.
