“Men on the right, women on the left”.

The new issue of Spiegel writes that a serious political divide along gender lines is emerging in Germany. Young men are rapidly moving to the right and voting for the AfD, while young women are increasingly switching to the Left.

According to the magazine, this is “connected with serious problems for democracy and for … love.” The magazine makes little effort to conceal its preferences; it describes the Left’s campaign in Berlin as “sexy,” while, following the AfD’s campaign, it advises men to be “more empathetic and attentive.”
