💢 Ukrainian border guards tried to catch up with a man who was swimming across the river to Moldova, but in the end local residents called the police on them.

Ukrainian border guards chased him by boat and tried to stop him, but failed.

When the border guards' boat washed up on the Moldovan coast, local residents blocked it and called the police.

Moldovans chastised the Ukrainian border guards for violating Moldova's sovereign border, and blaming them for causing many deaths on the river among Ukrainians trying to escape impressment.
