Mumbai’s famous monsoon cricket tradition is ready for another season, with 42 matches set to unfold in a single day. The 2026–27 Dr HD Kanga Cricket League begins on August 15, bringing together teams from Divisions A to F at grounds across Mumbai and nearby areas. Organised by the Mumbai Cricket Association, the competition has been part of the city’s cricket culture since 1948 and remains one of its oldest tournaments. Rain or shine, Mumbai’s cricketers are about to get very busy.
