Local storage is back operable

Urgent announcement regarding "Error downloading profileID profile data from storage"

What's affected: all browser profiles with enabled local storage or extension storage.

Reason: cloud storage service we use is down in Europe/Russia region. The data center operator is working to resolve the issue. All session data is SAFE. You will soon be able to use it after the problem is fixed.

According to our information, the cloud storage service is still operable in S/N America, Australia, and Asia.

While you can see and "touch" many of the changes of this update, some serious improvements have been made behind the scene. One of those is further development of infrastructure that began in the 2.0 development time. We migrated to a scalable server infrastructure which will help us to keep pace with the increasing popularity of the software and ever-growing user engagement.

If you were experiencing connectivity issues during the last week not related to the quality of either proxy or vpn connection, then by this time all those issues must be solved. Yesterday we updated application's server part and tomorrow will apply some additional updates to improve browser profile statuses update rates. (Until then, there might be minor inconsistencies in profile statuses)

We want to specifically point out improvements related to creation or editing of browser profiles. WebRTC default mode in Mimic and Stealthfox profiles was changed to Altered as this mode is the most preferred by the majority of users.

An option to disable font masking was also added. We forgot to implement this in the interface during the migration from 1.4.9 to 2.0. Now you can disable font masking both when creating a new browser profile or editing an existing one.

In the Navigator view the "Languages" object had been fully reworked. This object is responsible for Accept-Language header forming. Now you can easily choose desired languages by using a search filter, Drag&Drop it to the column of selected languages and use Drag&Drop to adjust the priority of chosen languages. Once you set up the desired format of Accept-Language, you can copy and paste the resulting field when creating new browser profiles. You may also ship the language constructor step and copy the value from your native Chrome or Firefox browser.

A lot of improvements has been made in the application interface. A date of the last profile edit came into being that can be used for sorting browser profiles as well both in the common list and within a group. The interface now remembers the sorting state and search results. When you return to it from another view, the state is restored. Unfortunately, we could not implement returning to a group view after a new profile creation due to complexity of a required component. This will be implemented later.

In the profile list a natural sorting order was implemented. An option to delete profile from a group is now available. It is applicable to both a single and multiple selected profiles. All shared session access control features were migrated from the version 1.4.9. In 2.1 you can revoke a member access to a shared profile. Likewise, you can transfer the profile ownership completely and then remove it from your account while keeping on another person's accounts. Full browser profile transfer is available between account with a paid subscription. Before using this feature, we strongly advice to get familiar with corresponding documentation.

One of the main issues in version 1.4.9 and 2.0 was Timezone one-hour shift after the worldwide switch to DST time. This problem was resolved through updating a licensed version of MaxMind Ip2Geo database and fixing an error in our own algorithm. Due to Timezone being one of the main parameters that websites track, the removal of this error should reduce the number of issues with websites for many of our users.

We also added profile name display in the interface of both browsers (Stealthfox & Mimic) which helps to avoid mess while working with many windows. Profile name display is demonstrated on a screenshot below:

The most important improvement of version 2.1 is working with Google services. Both Mimic and Stealthfox browsers got improved. Since its inception Mimic browser contained a few hard-to-trace bugs which led to infamous "Cookie mismatch" and "Aw! Snap" problems in some Google services. Besides that, on many systems Mimic browser would not open in a size corresponding to the one set in a browser profile. Switching between browsing tabs could take a lot of time due to delays in communication between a browser and Multilogin's subsystems.

In the version 2.1 all named problems, as well as numerous unnamed ones, were completely resolved. Besides, we added IndexedDB support - a special browser cache that is used by some Google services. Switching IndexedDB on is done automatically when you enable Local Storage. It is available in paid subscription plans of the Startup level and higher for Mimic and Stealthfox browsers.

today with a great pride and a bit of flutter we present you an update Multilogin 2.1 Deep Blue. As you may already know, the preceding version 2.0 was a big step forward for our product. We invested all energy, brains and soul into that release. Version 2.1 became its logical bright-finished conclusion.
