The ongoing Zionist escalation in the Gaza Strip constitutes a continuation of the chapters of the war of extermination against our Palestinian people. The latest of these was the horrific massacre perpetrated by the occupation army this afternoon west of Gaza City, which resulted in the martyrdom of five citizens, in addition to the ongoing shelling targeting all parts of the Strip. This once again confirms the criminal occupation’s reneging on all its obligations under the ceasefire agreement.

We in the Hamas Movement affirm that the continuation of assassinations, gunfire, shelling, and attacks targeting civilians represents an extremely dangerous development that undermines the prospects for implementing the agreement. The occupation and its fascist leaders bear full responsibility for its consequences.

In light of the continuation of this dangerous Zionist escalation, the mediators, guarantor countries, and the US administration must assume their responsibilities and move beyond monitoring violations to taking concrete measures that ensure they cease and compel the occupation to respect the existing understandings.
