An Update on Maximize

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share an important update regarding Maximize.

As many of you know, Maximize was introduced as a limited-term rewards programme designed to encourage participation in the Minima ecosystem while demonstrating the power and flexibility of our network. From the outset, the rewards pool allocated to Maximize was finite, and we have always been transparent that the programme would conclude once those funds were exhausted.

We are now approaching that point.

Based on current participation levels, the remaining Maximize rewards pool is nearing depletion, and we expect the programme to come to a close in the near future and naturally we wanted to ensure the community had advance visibility of what is coming.

First and foremost, thank you to everyone who has participated in Maximize over the years. Your support has helped make it one of the most successful and widely used MiniDapps in the Minima ecosystem.

It is important to note that this is not an unexpected event, nor is it a change in strategy. Maximize has operated exactly as intended. The rewards pool is being exhausted because it has been used successfully by the community it was designed to serve.

Any active Maximize contracts will continue to operate according to their existing terms, and users will be able to claim their rewards as normal upon maturity. The conclusion of the programme only affects the creation of new Maximize contracts once the remaining rewards allocation has been fully committed.

As Minima continues to grow, our focus remains firmly on building the infrastructure, partnerships, usecases and real-world utility that drive long-term value across the ecosystem. Maximize has played an important role in that journey, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who took part.

Thanks,
Luke & Your Minima Team

Engineering Update

Over the last period, the team has completed testing across the DEX, MiniMask, and the Stablecoin Bridge, with all three now moving into release preparation.

For the DEX, version v1.0.1 introduces a refreshed front-end experience, alongside several functional and operational improvements. These include the addition of SIM bin restrictions for new users, a 5-minute timeout on trades and messages, and a range of minor bug fixes identified during testing. The focus here has been on improving usability, tightening controls, and continuing to harden the platform ahead of wider rollout.

On the Stablecoin Bridge, version v1.0 includes a reworked front-end and expanded bridging support, enabling USDT (ERC-20) to bridge directly into USDT on Minima. The team has also implemented a number of contract optimisations aimed at improving efficiency and overall performance.

Alongside product testing and release prep, work continues across the broader ecosystem, including ongoing development of operational tooling for Integritas and continued progress on Minima Core, the lightweight version of Minima designed for chip and hardware-oriented deployments.

Important Security Notice Regarding Web Wallet

We recently identified and resolved a vulnerability affecting the Minima Web Wallet infrastructure.

The issue may have allowed a malicious actor to scan exposed private keys and access funds belonging to some Web Wallet users who logged in between 20th March and 8th May.

If you used Web Wallet during this period, we strongly recommend that you:

• Check your wallet balance and transaction history immediately
• Review for any unauthorised transactions or unexpected transfers
• Contact querysupport@minima.global as soon as possible if you believe your wallet may have been impacted
• Generate a new wallet to create a fresh set of private keys
• Move your funds to the newly generated wallet as a precautionary security measure

We want to be fully transparent with the community. Significant effort and industry best practices were applied to secure the infrastructure supporting Web Wallet. However, no internet-connected software or platform can ever be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

This challenge is becoming increasingly difficult across the entire industry, particularly in the era of AI-driven vulnerability discovery and automated exploitation.

As always, the most secure way to protect your tokens is to run your own Minima node and maintain full self-custody of your private keys. Self-custody removes reliance on hosted infrastructure and significantly reduces exposure to third-party attack surfaces.

We sincerely apologise for the concern this may cause and are continuing to investigate, monitor, and strengthen our systems.

Thanks,
Your Minima Team

Engineering Update

This update is slightly different in format.

Following a recent period of team leave, the focus has been on re-establishing development cadence, aligning priorities, and progressing ongoing workstreams rather than pushing out discrete, reportable milestones this week.

Across the stack, work continues in three core areas:

On Integritas, efforts remain centred on strengthening the operational layer - including service monitoring, deployment tooling, and the continued maturation of Integritas Distro as a self-hosted product. This is foundational work that underpins scalability and external adoption, even if it doesn’t always translate into immediate outward-facing updates.

On the DEX and Stablecoin Bridge, both systems continue to run stably in beta. The current phase is focused on iterative improvement, capturing feedback to prioritise quality-of-life enhancements in further releases. This is the less visible, but critical, phase of turning working systems into reliable products.

In parallel, work on Minima Core - the stripped-back version of Minima designed for hardware and chip-level deployment - remains ongoing. This represents a longer-term track, and we’ll share more detail as that work becomes more externally visible.

Stepping back, this period reflects a shift from initial delivery into hardening, refinement, and operational readiness across multiple components. These phases are typically quieter externally, but are where a significant amount of long-term value is built.

With the team now fully back, pace is expected to increase again as we move into the next cycle of updates.

Engineering Update

In the last period, work has focused on strengthening both the operational layer of Integritas and the continued stabilisation of recently released products.

On Integritas, development is underway on a new internal and external service management dashboard. This will provide a central interface to monitor and maintain all running Integritas services — supporting local development, internal cloud operations, and external users running Integritas Distro in self-hosted environments. This is an important step toward making Integritas more operationally accessible and scalable across different deployment models.

In parallel, Integritas Distro has been prepared for internal end-to-end testing. A Docker-based setup has been finalised via a GitHub repository, enabling rapid deployment and validation. Supporting this, a structured user journey document is being developed to guide testing and ensure consistency across validation scenarios, moving Integritas closer to a more complete, deployable product experience.

On the DEX and Stablecoin Bridge, both beta releases have been progressing well and running stably since launch. Early usage has surfaced a number of quality-of-life improvements, which are now being captured and prioritised for upcoming iterations as the platforms continue to mature.

Alongside this, the team has also been working on a stripped-back version of Minima for the chip project, referred to as Minima Core. This is an early step toward enabling more lightweight, hardware-oriented deployments, with further detail to be shared in future updates.

With a recent period of team leave now behind us, and with that all said, development pace is expected to increase again as we move into the next phase of delivery.

We’ve now surpassed our initial raise target by £120k+.

Not just a funding milestone, but a clear signal of belief in what we’re building with Minima.

What’s resonating isn’t hype, but clear direction: lightweight, embedded blockchain infrastructure designed to run at the edge, on real hardware, in real conditions.

We’re focused on constrained systems - where the future of connected devices is actually being built.

As autonomy & IoT scale, verifiable, tamper-proof data at the source stops being optional. It becomes essential.

That’s the space we’re building into.

So far, the backers coming in are largely new, tech-focused investors who understand where this is heading, but the opportunity is still open for anyone in the Community who wants to be part of it.

To all who’ve backed us, a sincere thank you.

For those still considering, there is still time to join the raise: https://europe.republic.com/minima

Today is the day we soft launch / test run the DEX, Bridge, and Minimask with you. There is no pair other than Minima <> USDT.

There are three sites you will need to visit, below is a step by step guide :

1) You will need to visit https://minimaxt.org, where you should notice a warning prompting you to visit https://minimask.org to install MiniMask. --

2) https://minimask.org will prompt you to download and unzip the file, set your browser in Developer mode (google search if you don't know how), and click on "Load Unpacked" to install your unzipped minimask folder. --

3) Head back to https://minimaxt.org, you will need to restore or create a wallet and set a password, you can have up to 5 wallets. Once comfortable, send some Minima to your deposit address and start trading. --

4) Should you wish to swap (in/out) USDT on Minima, you will need to visit https://mxusd.global in order to do this. --

You do not need to restore or create a wallet in MiniMask for the DEX to work, as the DEX has it's own restore / create page, for up to 5 different wallets

It should all be relatively straight forward, and we will track any issues.

Be advised, there is an unmoderated chatroom blocked by a 5 minute "sin bin".

Please make sure you use the Block Explorer if your tokens go missing.

We’re crowdfunding - giving our long term supporters and the public the opportunity to invest in Minima AG ahead of our planned Series A later this year.

Minima exists to power a world where machines and AI don’t just think: they transact, cooperate, and prove what is true.

As autonomy accelerates, trust can no longer live in cloud servers or central platforms. It must exist at the edge, inside the machines themselves.

Minima is building the trust layer for autonomous machines, using a radically compact blockchain protocol that can run directly on devices, at the silicon layer.

We’ve launched a crowdfunding round on Republic Europe and have already exceeded our initial target. We are accepting over-subscription for a limited time, so register now to gain access!

Update on issues experienced by some at the weekend

Over the weekend, the network experienced a temporary slowdown which caused some nodes to fall behind.

This was triggered by an unusually high volume of activity, with several thousand transactions being processed across thousands of blocks in a short period. While this placed significant strain on the systems that aggregate and present network data, it’s important to note that the core network itself remained operational throughout. Nodes continued to process and validate as expected, even where the explorer displayed delays or inconsistencies.

Events like this are a natural, and valuable, part of operating a live, growing network. They provide real-world stress conditions that are difficult to fully replicate in testing environments, helping us identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.

The network has now fully recovered, and enhancements have been implemented to better handle similar levels of demand in the future.

“Quantum-resistant” is crypto’s next buzzword. And it’s misleading.

Google just shortened the timeline on breaking today’s cryptography.

So now everyone’s saying:
👉 “We picked a quantum-safe algorithm”

That’s not future-proof - that’s a bet.

Projects like Mochimo are already there: but what happens when that choice ages?

Minima already uses WOTS + SHA3. No elliptic curve exposure. No hard fork dependency.

Security isn’t an upgrade. It’s a process.

🔥 Arm just asked the right question: can blockchain run on a chip?

We’ve published our take on their latest blog covering the project with Minima, the University of Southampton, and Siemens.

What stands out isn’t just the engineering, it’s the shift in thinking.

This wasn’t a demo or academic exercise.

It was a real protocol, under real constraints, on real hardware:
• Full node on embedded Arm cores
• C++ port for edge deployment
• Hardware-accelerated SHA3
• Drone telemetry validated on-chain

Arm framed it correctly:

This is a systems problem, not a feature.

Our view:

Blockchain is moving to the edge & trust is moving into the machine itself.

That’s what Blockchain-on-Chip actually means.

Weekly Engineering Update

This week marks a significant step toward release readiness across multiple core components. Testing has now been completed for the DEX, Minima wallet (MiniMask), and the Stablecoin Bridge, with the team now preparing each for their respective launches.

On the DEX, version v1.0.1 introduces a reworked front-end, improving the overall look and feel of the platform. Functional updates include the introduction of Sin-bin restrictions for new users, a 5-minute timeout on trades and messages, and a number of minor bug fixes following testing feedback. These changes reflect a continued focus on usability, control, and system stability as the DEX approaches release.

For the Stablecoin Bridge, version v1.0 includes a refreshed front-end alongside expanded functionality, with support added for USDT (ERC-20) bridging into USDT on Minima. Contract-level optimisations have also been implemented to improve performance and efficiency.

On MiniMask, there are no major functional changes this cycle, but work is underway on a light front-end overhaul to improve user experience and visual consistency across the stack.

Overall, the focus this week has been on finalising, refining, and preparing for release - moving key components from tested systems into production-ready products.

🔥 Arm just validated Blockchain-on-Chip

Arm’s Semiconductor Education Alliance has published a deep dive into the project with Minima, the University of Southampton, and Siemens.

This is big 👇

• Full Minima node running on embedded Arm hardware
• Ported to C++ for edge deployment
• Hardware-accelerated SHA3
• Drone telemetry validated on-chain

This is what Blockchain-on-Chip looks like in practice.

Not theory.
Running on real chips.

For Minima, this is clear validation from one of the most important players in global semiconductor architecture.

The direction is obvious:

👉 Blockchain moving to the edge
👉 Machines proving what they’ve done

Most blockchains scale by reducing decentralisation.

The Minima network just passed 2,000,000 blocks produced with:

1. Zero downtime
2. No centralised validators
3. Every user running a full node

Radically different design. Completely decentralised outcome 🔥
