Restrict Saving Content — Before & After

Before, Restrict Saving Content worked as a simple ON/OFF switch. Once enabled, saving and copying were blocked for everyone — including channel owners.

This created unnecessary friction: owners couldn’t easily save their own posts, archive materials or reuse channel assets.

After, saving becomes a clear permission-based setting. Instead of one rigid restriction, owners can choose who is allowed to save content: all subscribers, only the owner, or admins with Manage Content permission.

Original / Result segmented controls let users compare versions without losing the original text.

Styles are now actions, not modes. Users can stack them, regenerate results, translate after styling, or style after translation without switching tabs.

Fix, Formatting, and other AI actions live together as styles. Style categories keep Tools, Creative, and My Styles organized.

Undo / Redo and a temporary “Edited by AI / Undo” banner make edits reversible.

A prompt field lets users type custom instructions when presets are not enough.

AI Editor is also easier to access: long-press the emoji icon on mobile, select text from the context menu, or use the Desktop context menu.

The result is a cleaner, safer, and more flexible AI Editor for both quick messages and serious writing.

— AI Editor is hard to access because of the 3-line threshold.
— No comparison. Original can be lost forever.
— No iteration / Results reset between actions.
— No customization / Cannot be stacked.

It only appears after a message reaches 3 lines, which makes access inconsistent across devices.

After translation or styling, the result can become shorter than 3 lines, making the AI Editor button disappear. Users have to apply the result, reopen the editor, and start over.

The editor also works like a one-shot action. There is no proper Original / Result comparison, no Undo / Redo, and no continuous workflow for translating, fixing, restyling, or refining the same text.

Styles are locked into separate modes. Users can’t combine them, regenerate from the editor, or organize built-in and custom styles.

As a result, AI Editor feels more like a temporary effect panel than a serious writing tool.
