At the same time, Siza is masterful in his reinterpretation of vernacular Portuguese architecture, which is evident in the shapes of the roofs, carpentry detailing, and in the way the houses face away from the street, onto the inner patios. As such, the project is a telling example of "critical regionalism" as defined by Kenneth Frampton (who wrote a book on Siza’s architecture, by the way).

Regrettably, we’ve failed to find any decent pictures of the interiors. As for the plans, we are including some more down below.
