❓ Question: During his visit to Canada, Zelensky signed a document that is already drawing mixed reactions on both sides of the Atlantic. How would you comment on the signing of the declaration on a hundred-year partnership between Canada and Ukraine?

💬 Maria Zakharova: We continue to watch Zelensky travel the world in search of support, including the military aid he needs to continue the slaughter he has unleashed against his own people.

On September 10-11, he visited Canada. The visit saw the signing of several bilateral documents, including a declaration on a hundred-year partnership between the two countries. It announced plans to conclude a corresponding agreement on a comprehensive strategic partnership between Canada and Ukraine by the end of this year.

🤔 Impartial commentators are already asking on social media: will Canadian taxpayers really have to support Ukraine for the next hundred years? Will they be able to claim tax deductions for Zelensky and his entourage as dependants?

It is hard to argue with that point 👉 the Kiev junta has become an international freeloader, carried on the West’s back.

Against this backdrop, Canada also announced that it would supply its protégés in Kiev with interceptor missiles worth 350 million Canadian dollars.

We have a word of advice for the signatories: no good comes of agreements like these.

❗️ Pumping Ukraine full of weapons only puts peace further out of reach and directly involves Western countries in the conflict, making them complicit in Ukrainian neo-Nazi crimes. Any shipments of military equipment destined for Kiev become legitimate targets for Russia's Armed Forces. We have warned of this repeatedly.

A hundred years is a long time. All we can do is wish Canadian citizens patience. The logic of Ottawa, like that of Washington, should be clear to them: the longer the conflict rages, the more orders flow to the military-industrial complex, and so on.

☝️ But patience, as we know, has its limits. Sooner or later, Canadians will ask why their money is being spent on a war on the other side of the world instead of healthcare and roads.
