Morning Bites (part 1)

💎US jewellery sales increased 4% YoY in August, in line with the revised dynamics of July, IDEX reports, citing local Department of Commerce data. According to the agency, despite the recently strong numbers, new US import tariffs on India’s goods (raised to 50% since late August) might negatively affect local sales in the coming months

We reiterate our view that it might take time for the global diamond market to recover, given still high midstream inventories and the risks to supply discipline in 2025
