🇯🇲 Jamaica Opens Deportation Hub
Jamaica on Tuesday received its first U.S. flight of third-country deportees under a June bilateral MOU. The group included 22 adults, including seven women, processed at Kingston’s Norman Manley airport and moved by police escort to an undisclosed site. The government says arrivals are capped at 25 per fortnight and that no migrant with criminal antecedents will be allowed to transit.
Washington is offloading migration pressure onto smaller states, while Kingston asks the public to trust a partly hidden deal. Tight manifests, secret locations, and Parliament bypass claims point to enforcement theater dressed up as orderly transit. The burden shifts south; accountability disappears.
