Jung posed six questions to assess readiness for truth, emphasizing that healing requires abandoning convenient self-images and recognizing "fate" as decision.
1. Where are you playing a role? Lying about being "fine" at work, in family, or love causes self-loss.
2. What if your pain disappeared? Pain often defines identity (e.g., victim, abandoned). Who remains without it?
3. Why do you keep being this way? Current states serve hidden purposes, often because change is scarier than suffering.
4. Which fear do you refuse to face? Unnamed fears dictate job, relationships, and limits until acknowledged.
5. Who are you when no one is watching? Strip away masks and expectations to find your starting point.
6. What story are you unconsciously living? Everyone plays a myth (savior, victim, strong one). The unconscious governs life until it becomes conscious.
These questions remove excuses; holding the gaze makes true change possible.
