On Friday, October 2nd, the Commander VCorps of the US Army, Lieutenant General Thomas Feltey, accompanied by the Deputy Commander for Interoperability, Major General Piotr Trytek, paid a working visit to the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces. The delegation was met by the First Deputy Operational Commander of the Polish Armed Forces, Major General Maciej Jabłoński.
The discussions focused on current security conditions, with particular emphasis on the eastern flank NATO . The Command's tasks were also presented and opportunities for further developing cooperation, interoperability, and coordination of activities in a multi-domain environment were discussed.
The collaboration between Polish and American command structures serves to build shared situational awareness and increase the ability to respond quickly and coordinately. This is a practical dimension of strengthening the security of Poland and the entire eastern flank of the Alliance.
