⚡️🇴🇲🇮🇱🇦🇪 — The Wall Street Journal reported that Oman had previously barred the co-pilot accused of attempting to crash a Flydubai passenger aircraft from flying after authorities became concerned that he had adopted “radical views,” according to people familiar with the matter. Despite the restriction, the Omani pilot was subsequently employed by Flydubai, while it remains unclear whether Oman informed other countries or airlines of its concerns.

➡️ Separately, Al Arabiya cited sources as saying, “The pilot left Oman after being suspended from flying. He was influenced by extremist ideas during a previous stay in Syria.”
