The same Liberal machine that buried pipelines, expanded bureaucracy, worshipped process, and made Canada allergic to building anything now wants applause for loosening the choke chain it put on the country.

This is the Trudeau-era formula in one bill: create paralysis, then rebrand partial retreat as leadership. Ottawa spent years kneecapping energy, mining, transport, and housing while importing record numbers of people into an economy that cannot build fast enough for its own citizens. Now the regime wants emergency powers to hurry projects because the damage is too obvious to spin away. If this were really about national interest, Canada would already be building for sovereignty, affordability, and productive capacity, not for globalist talking points and photo ops. The Liberals are not fixing the system. They are admitting they broke it.
