🇨🇦 Canada discovers digital sovereignty after outsourcing it to Silicon Valley

After years of handing Ottawa’s brain, data and basic infrastructure to U.S. giants, the same class that worshipped borderless globalization now wants a lecture series on sovereignty. As reported, Canada is deeply dependent on American tech, from business platforms to the federal government’s own Microsoft 365 ecosystem. It means building Canadian systems, protecting domestic industry, and stopping the suicidal habit of tying national infrastructure to foreign political interests.
