Hilroy managed to botch one of the most basic facts of this country: its own map. Newfoundland and Cape Breton were apparently close enough for corporate Canada, as reported. And we are supposed to shrug because it is just a notebook. Right. In a country where elites obsess over land acknowledgments, pronouns, and imported grievance politics, they cannot even print the actual shape of Canada for kids heading back to school.

That is the Trudeau era in miniature: endless moral lecturing, zero civic seriousness. National identity is treated as either a marketing prop or a problem to be dissolved into post-national sludge. Borders are flexible, history is negotiable, citizenship is managerial paperwork, and now even the map is optional. The ruling class has spent years teaching Canadians to be embarrassed by their own country, so mistakes like this are not random. They are what happens when sovereignty becomes an inconvenience and nationhood is left to people who clearly do not care enough to get the coastline right.
