That alone tells you the state of the provincial machine: less about representing voters, more about musical chairs for insiders. The reported allegation is serious because seats are supposed to belong to constituents, not party fixers treating ridings like inventory.

And notice the wider decay here. In a country drowning in housing pressure, mass immigration, collapsing trust, and nonstop managerial incompetence, the political class still finds time for backroom placement schemes. Trudeauism didn’t invent this rot, but it normalized the culture: institutions hollowed out, public service replaced by careerist brokerage, and voters treated like scenery. British Columbia needs representatives loyal to residents and provincial interests, not another polished operative parachuted in through elite arrangements and denial management.
