This Sunday, the Yom Rishon club has an important topic in store for the kids – Kashrut. Together we will figure out what makes delicious Jewish cuisine special and how Jewish traditions can turn simple foods into a meaningful part of a spiritual life.
Program: 🍽 Introduction to traditions 🗣 Hebrew practice with a native speaker 🍰 Treats from the AVIV restaurant and an ocean of fun
🎂 The kids will also participate in an exciting play called "The Sweet Kingdom," where everyone will become a part of a sweet story. Together with the characters, the children will help find a secret ingredient and create a magical cake for the birthday girl.
We recognize that a child's intellectual development begins with curiosity. From the moment when our children develop their internal need for independent thought and finding solutions to challenges we encourage them to harness this need in the world of chess.
The children master the ability to see several moves ahead, analyze their actions, and make decisions. Chess also teaches how to cope with emotions: to rejoice in victories and accept defeats gracefully.
🏆 We are very proud of our children who end up winning prizes at tournaments.
🏕️ Every summer, we hold a Chess and Sports Camp where the children can improve their physical fitness and their intellectual competency by learning from renowned chess grandmasters.
The kids at Malka absolutely love to have fun, and we love creating moments filled with joy and magic for them.
🔸 Together, we celebrate Birthdays, holidays, and organize cozy family evenings with the parents. During these warm gatherings, the children take the stage and transform into real performers: they sing, dance, recite poems, and give us goosebumps.
To make every event truly memorable, we carefully plan every detail. The events may include: 🎈 Thematic games and contests, designed specifically for different age groups; 🧗 Quests and climbing adventures in our very own rope park; 🎭 Performances in costumes where you can become your favorite character; 🎨 Creative and culinary workshops; 🥳 Animators, magic tricks, shows, and science experiments; 🎂 And, of course, a sweet cake, cool gifts, delicious treats, and most importantly – wonderful memories to last a lifetime.
So this year's important stage of the children's adaptation into Malka has come to an end. Every child goes through this period in their own way, and our role here, is to make it as engaging and smooth as possible.
🌱 We use the informal "you" when talking to children to build trust faster. 🌱 We offer a flexible daily schedule, helping them get used to the routine without unnecessary stress. 🌱 We are constantly in touch with the parents: sharing observations, giving advice, and always listening to their feelings and wishes.
🤗 We can see how, since the start of the new season, the children have become more confident, happily joining their class groups, make new friends, and smile more often. The warm atmosphere, attention to each child, and parental support are what makes this journey successful.
We look forward to the next stage of the year, where many more joyful and amazing discoveries await us ahead.
At Malka, we regularly conduct musical classes. 🎶 When we introduce the children to the world of music we introduce them to a beautiful tool that develops creative thinking and gives them the ability to express themselves through an art form.
🥁 The kids listen to different melodies, sing in both Russian and English. They especially like singing with a microphone. The children also love to dance, play musical instruments, arrange orchestras and simply have fun.
For the little ones, in our "Earlier Development" club, we conduct a musical theater that immerses toddlers in the world of fairy tales and helps them develop important skills.
👩🏫 Our experienced music teacher conducts classes with a deep understanding of music theory and practice, and specializes in logorhythmics and the development of speech.
At Malka we use an immersive bilingual system which has long become a pillar of our educational program - setting the foundation for the children's education on all fronts.
🔹We follow children's natural tendency to embrace new sounds and forming accents at a young age. Specifically, we focus on teaching and correcting their pronunciation over time, to make them sound clear and comprehensible in both languages.
English has become an integral part of everyday life at our center. The children talk, play, sing, and joke in English, thus compounding and reinforcing their learning.
👨🏫 Our native-speaking teachers, Ben Yehuda and Michael Lambert, are more than just teacher to the children. They socialize with the children; discuss the children's favorite cartoons over breakfast, sing fun songs together, make up stories in English during walks, and always keep an inspirational and supportive attitude. All of this makes every day at Malka a small adventure, full of joy and discoveries.
At the Malka children's center, we know that independence doesn't appear all at once, but rather it is formed step by step, starting from a very early age.
🧩 Modern child development research shows that it is during the preschool period (from 3 to 5 years of age) that this internal character develops. The "drive" to action, when a child needs to do more than completing assigned tasks, when they want to try new things, to invent, and to build something for themselves.
🤗 At our center, we create an atmosphere in which children learn to make decisions independently. They take care of themselves and cope with new challenges. Whenever possible, our children get to make their own choices, which book to have read to them, what to eat, and how to spend quiet time. It is with such small decisions that leadership qualities and self-confidence begin to form.
