At the Malka children's center, we know that independence doesn't appear all at once, but rather it is formed step by step, starting from a very early age.
🧩 Modern child development research shows that it is during the preschool period (from 3 to 5 years of age) that this internal character develops. The "drive" to action, when a child needs to do more than completing assigned tasks, when they want to try new things, to invent, and to build something for themselves.
🤗 At our center, we create an atmosphere in which children learn to make decisions independently. They take care of themselves and cope with new challenges. Whenever possible, our children get to make their own choices, which book to have read to them, what to eat, and how to spend quiet time. It is with such small decisions that leadership qualities and self-confidence begin to form.
