On his latest podcast, Gavin Newsom went to Alabama to talk about the need for reparations.
This is what shameless pandering for votes in the South Carolina Democrat primary looks like:
Newsom: "The biggest blowback -- and I'm curious your response to this. Why am I, as a taxpayer, responsible for the sins of not my father, but maybe my grandfathers?"
Bryan Stevenson: "Well to me, you're also the beneficiary of many of those sins...we don't disconnect from our history, right?"
Newsom nods along as he dreams of a South Carolina victory in 2028.
.....
Gavin Newsom uses the open of his podcast to sign a bill forcing companies to dig for slavery ties -- and make them public.
"This is a bill that requires large companies that operated before 1965 to search their records for ties to slavery, going back to 1849."
"And then we make it public."
"Accountability starts with the truth."
He's announcing the launch of a corporate guilt record to set the stage for reparations, set to a cheesy soundtrack.
This guy wants to be president.
