🎙️ Our INTERSPEECH 2026 work on Iranian Turkish (South Azerbaijani) ASR
We are happy to share a short presentation of our paper, “Preserving the Iranian Turkic Language: Community-Driven ASR Datasets and Benchmarking for South Azerbaijani.”
In this work, we introduce community-driven speech resources for Iranian Turkish (South Azerbaijani), benchmark multiple ASR models, and investigate some of the unique challenges of speech recognition for an under-resourced Turkic language written in Arabic script.
