Changes to endpoint weights:
- accountOrders and accountActiveOrders decreased from 300 to 100
- trades decreased from 600 to 200
- exchangeMetrics decreased from from 300 to 120

The above applies to the Lighter Core instance. The testnet channels will be used for both instances.

- Starting tomorrow, the following changes to partner attribution will be deployed: https://t.me/lighter_api_updates/166. Make sure to update your logic beforehand to avoid disruptions - rejected trades and approvals will start returning error 21520.

Legacy market IDs were bounded to [0, 255) for perp markets, and [2048, 4096) for spot markets. Testnet now adopts a new logic for assigning IDs to new markets, using 64 bit integers, starting at 4095. It is expected for market IDs to differ from mainnet, with current ones on testnet visible here: https://testnet.zklighter.elliot.ai/api/v1/orderBookDetails

This change will be deployed to Lighter Core Mainnet this Sunday (the exact time will be shared shortly), there will be no breaking changes for existing markets, which will maintain their current index - however, newly deployed markets (both perpetual, and spot ones) will pick the next free index >= 4095. For both cases, no other changes are required.

Traders can differentiate the type of market using the "market_type" field returned by the orderBookDetails, orderBooks endpoints - we strongly advise against making assumptions based on IDs going forward, e.g. assuming that whenever market_id >= 2048, it'll be a spot market.

That is particularly important for using WebSockets, as some channels are specific to a certain type of markets (e.g. spot_market_stats; market_stats); or when updating perp-specific parameters, such as isolated/cross margining of a position.

Mind that you're required to update your SDK to the latest version in order to support trading for these newly deployed markets.

- Rate limits for L1Withdrawal have been increased to 10 per hour, per user

- Fees for fast withdrawals have been reduced to $1 for Standard accounts

- Starting September 13th, 11 AM UTC (timestamp:1789297200) the smallClampedPremium formula will be updated as follows: https://docs.lighter.xyz/trading/funding#funding-rate-calculation

- Users can now export individual days of global trade events with the newly added historicalTrade endpoint, which returns a pre-signed S3 URL that includes a parquet file. We're planning to open access to an AWS S3 Bucket via Requester Pays as well, and provide more datasets down the road - we're keen to hear what data you'd like to access next.

Starting September 7th, 1 PM UTC (timestamp: 1788786000), wrongly formatted memos will be rejected.

The following changes to account types have been deployed to Lighter Core,

Standard Accounts:
- Latency: 300ms (taker), 300ms (cancel), 0ms (post-only)
- Fast withdrawals: $3 flat, where staking no longer waives this fee
- Active orders: 250 (total), 30 (per market)
- Pending orders: 50 (total), 10 (per market)
- New accounts will be able to create up to 4 sub-accounts

Plus Accounts:
- Fast withdrawals: 10 free per day, $1 flat afterwards
- Active orders: 750 (total), 250 (per market)
- Pending orders: 500 (total), 100 (per market)
- SendTx(Batch) limit set to 4000 per minute
- Read-only requests match those of Premium accounts, 24000 weighted per minute
- Traders can now create up to 16 sub-accounts

Premium accounts:
- Latency: 140ms (taker), for all tiers. Maker and cancel orders stay at 0ms
- Fast withdrawals: unlimited, free
- Active orders: 1500 (total), 1000 (per market)
- Pending orders: 1000 (total), 100 (per market)
- Traders can now create up to 64 sub-accounts, regardless of tier

Sub-accounts cannot be deleted, so they should be created with care, as switching to account types that allow fewer of them will not be permitted.

Changing account type is now permitted without having to close positions, or orders.

Additionally, public pools can now be created after reaching $10M in traded volume via a Plus o Premium account, without any sort of whitelist required.

- Latency-sensitive traders on the best premium tier will be able to directly access our APIs by skipping AWS CloudFront, starting September 4th, 1 PM UTC (timestamp : 1788526800). Alternatively, Fee Credits used to access staking benefits must have at least 90 days remaining before expiry. Whitelisting can be processed via Discord #support, or existing communication channels. Only Premium accounts will be supported, on both Lighter Core and the Robinhood Chain instance.

- Starting September 14th, 1 PM UTC (timestamp: 1789390800), trades via Partner Attribution with non-zero integrator fees coming from Standard accounts will be rejected, as well as integrator approvals. Existing partners should update their logic, so that their clients' account types are set to Plus or Premium accounts (changes can be processed using changeAccountTier). See account types and related fees for Lighter Core and the Robinhood Chain instance.

- Deposits via fun.xyz now support 22 assets across 12 blockchains, including native assets such as Bitcoin. Builders can decide whether USDC, or ETH, gets credited: https://apidocs.lighter.xyz/docs/deposits-transfers-and-withdrawals#deposit-via-funxyz

The following changes have been deployed to Lighter Core:

• sendTx/sendTxBatch rate limits for the best premium tier have been increased by 20%, now at 48,000 transactions per minute
• Trades executed through the partner attribution program, with non-zero integrator fees, will not be considered for kickbacks and rebates: https://docs.lighter.xyz/referral-program

The following change has been deployed to the Robinhood Chain instance:

• Volume tier thresholds (which determine rate limits for premium accounts) have been temporarily lowered, requiring $500M volume in the last 14 days to access the best tier: https://apidocs.rh.lighter.xyz/docs/account-types. Thresholds will be adjusted upwards as venue activity increases

The following changes have been deployed to both Lighter Core, and the Robinhood Chain instance:

• An order_version parameter can now be specified when modifying an order, with both available SDKs supporting it. This guarantees correct ordering, where the sequencer will reject any version that is not strictly greater than the order's current stored version, returning AppErrInvalidOrderOrderVersion.
• Order events now include order_version
• Trade events now include ask_order_version, bid_order_version

The above remains optional, and existing workflows will not break. Examples on how to use order_version are available here (http) and here (ws)

Advanced Order Fee Update

As a reminder, Standard accounts will now have a 0.01% (1 bp) fee on RFQ, Chase Limit, and TWAP orders.

Plus and Premium accounts will continue to have their normal tier fees.

Limit and Market orders remain free.
