Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said he drove for nearly three hours to Ketziot Prison after receiving a photo of a Palestinian detainee’s meal showing eight olives instead of the usual six.
Upon arriving, he summoned senior prison officials and questioned them over the two additional olives, saying Palestinian detainees should receive nothing beyond the minimum set by prison regulations.
Ben-Gvir described his approach by saying, “The rule begins with the olives.”
