🇮🇶🇺🇸🇮🇷 Iraq Seeks U.S. Exemption to Resume Iranian Airline Flights

The Iraqi government is holding direct talks with Washington to secure exemptions from U.S. sanctions targeting Iranian airlines, seeking to allow flights to resume on humanitarian grounds.

The Iraqi Prime Minister’s Office said the exemptions would cover travel for medical treatment, education, religious visits and other civilian needs. Iranian flights to Iraqi airports have been suspended following the latest U.S. sanctions.
