В экспозиции — живопись, графика, инсталляции, фото- и видеоматериалы из семейного архива, а также собраний Ольги и Сергея Поповых и художника Сергея Катрана: ретроспектива из 50 произведений.
В открытии приняли участие директор ОИЯИ академик РАН Григорий Трубников, куратор проекта Никита Спиридонов, вдова художника Наталья Датиева и его сын Дмитрий Панкин.
«Логика направления Art & Science, заданная нашей первой выставкой Франциско Инфантэ, получает в проекте Александра Панкина органичное развитие. Сегодня много говорят об эпохе искусственного интеллекта, фундаментом которого выступают математика, алгоритмы и числовые ряды. Искусство Панкина ещё в 1980-е годы интуитивно предвосхитило развитие этих новых технологий», — отметил директор ОИЯИ Григорий Трубников.

🖌 Number as Event: Alexander Pankin exhibition opened at JINR Gallery
The exhibition features paintings, graphics, installations, photos and videos from the Pankin family’s archive as well as the collections of Olga Popova, Sergey Popov, and artist Sergey Katran: a retrospective of 50 works.
The opening ceremony was attended by JINR Director, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Grigory Trubnikov, project curator Nikita Spiridonov, the artist's widow Natalia Datieva and his son Dmitry Pankin.
"Alexander Pankin's project develops the Art & Science concept introduced in our first exhibition of Francisco Infante. Today, there is a lot of talk about the era of artificial intelligence, which is based on mathematics, algorithms, and numerical sequences. Back in the 1980s, Pankin's art intuitively anticipated the advancement of these new technologies", JINR Director Grigory Trubnikov said.
