🌊 Sestroretsk seaside escape — Last breath of winter, first glimpse of spring

Buddy System invites you on a trip to Sestroretsk — a peaceful escape by the Gulf of Finland. Let's trade the busy streets for quiet forest paths, admire the charm of historic wooden cottages, and breathe in the fresh March air by the snowy beach.

International Mother Language Day was yesterday, 21 February.

It is a day that reminds us how much language carries — not just words, but memory, identity, and a sense of belonging. The way we speak shapes the way we think. The words we grow up with stay with us for life.

Not everyone speaks the same language. Not everyone grew up in the same place. But most of us have that one language that feels like home.

Today is 22 February. The date has passed, but the thought remains worth holding onto.

Maslenitsa at Buddy System, February 15 — sun, smiles, and lots of blini 🌞

This Saturday, we gathered to celebrate Maslenitsa — and it turned into an evening full of warmth, laughter, and friendly competition. We started with a short presentation on the history and traditions of the holiday, and then the real fun began!

Our guests showed off their quick-wittedness, speed, and creativity in a series of traditional contests. Everyone left with a little souvenir: a handcrafted straw doll or a decorative ornament of bread rings 🥞

And of course — no Maslenitsa without blini! We tried them with all kinds of toppings, from classic condensed milk and jam to caviar and vegetables. It was delicious, messy, and absolutely perfect 🥞🥞
