📌 Tehran, IRNA — Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi has reiterated that Tehran “has concerns and sensitivities regarding any US presence in the surrounding region.”
Araghchi made the remarks in response to a question by Armenpress regarding the presence of US forces in the region and the TRIPP project.
“We have concerns and sensitivities regarding any US presence in our surrounding region. However, we are in direct contact with our Armenian friends on this matter, and we know that they will not take any action against Iran’s security,” the foreign minister stressed.
“Iran will continue consultations with Armenian officials,” he said. “My good friend Ararat Mirzoyan visited Tehran, and we held fruitful talks. Today, Iran President Masoud Pezeshkian also met with the Armenian prime minister.”
