📌 Tehran, IRNA – Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has emphasized the importance of the historical ties between Iran and Yemen, noting that the blockade of Yemen has caused severe suffering for its people.
Yemen’s Saba news agency reported on Thursday that the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in Sana’a, Abdulwahid Abu Ras, had received a message from Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi concerning bilateral relations and ongoing regional developments.
In the message, Araghchi stressed the importance of the historical ties between the brotherly Iranian and Yemeni peoples and the need to strengthen and develop relations in line with the two countries’ shared interests.
He also emphasized that the unjust and illegal blockade imposed on the Republic of Yemen had caused severe suffering for the Yemeni people.
