📌 Tehran, IRNA — Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has referred to Iranian officials’ participation in three diplomatic events, emphasizing that active participation in international forums to elaborate the country’s positions is part of Iran’s diplomatic policy.
Answering reporters on Thursday, Baqaei said that President Masoud Pezeshkian will travel to Yerevan, Armenia, on Friday to attend the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP17), adding that the president is also scheduled to hold talks with some of the participating leaders on the sidelines of the event.

Referring to environmental damage caused by US and Israeli military aggression against Iran, particularly in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, Baqaei stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran would use every opportunity to document and highlight crimes committed against the environment.
