📌 Shiraz, IRNA – IRNA CEO Hossein Jaberi Ansari has called for comprehensive documentation and preservation of evidence from US and Israeli attacks on Iranian cities.
Speaking during a Thursday meeting with Ebrahim Azizi, chairman of Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, Jaberi Ansari stressed the need to record damage to affected areas before reconstruction removes physical evidence.
He said documentation should cover damaged buildings and public facilities, as well as the experiences of victims, injured people and their families. Professional photographs, documentary productions and dedicated spaces to preserve and display evidence could help ensure the events remain part of Iran’s historical record, he added.
Jaberi Ansari also called for coordination among government bodies, cultural institutions and organizations responsible for preserving historical records. He said IRNA aimed to strengthen its national standing, improve professional content production and expand visual journalism, while reinforcing provincial offices and maintaining long-term organizational plans.
He further emphasized the need to reduce unnecessary political disputes and establish common national frameworks to protect social cohesion and national interests. Jaberi Ansari made the remarks during a visit to Shiraz, the capital of Fars Province. He also visited the cities of Lamerd and Lar a day earlier.
Azizi welcomed IRNA’s efforts to strengthen its professional role, saying its institutional standing and experience positioned it to help improve journalistic standards across the country.
The lawmaker also highlighted opportunities to expand Iran’s media engagement with regional countries, the Muslim world and independent nations. He called for more specialized coverage of security, defense and political issues.
