📌 Tabriz, IRNA – President Masoud Pezeshkian says Iran will not allow the United States to achieve its sinister goals by disrupting the country’s supply routes and creating public discontent.
“The enemy is doing everything it can to prevent us from serving our dear people and to create public discontent, hoping that social protests will emerge and allow it to achieve its sinister objectives. But with the support of our producers, exporters and entrepreneurs, we will not allow the United States to achieve its sinister goal,” the president said on Thursday.
He made the remarks while speaking online at a meeting of East Azarbaijan Province’s Planning and Development Council in Tabriz.
Pezeshkian added that Iran remains resolute and would secure its needs through all available means, with the help of its people.
He also called on officials across the country to work together to resolve local problems, stressing that provinces should not rely solely on Tehran to address their challenges.
The president also praised the Armed Forces and defenders of the country for their resistance to enemy attacks, saying they accomplished a great and lasting feat. He said no power had expected them to withstand such massive attacks, adding that he was proud of each of them for defending the country with dedication despite all the hardships and shortages.
Public resilience foiled attempts to exploit Iran’s problems
Also on Thursday, President Pezeshkian addressed a ceremony marking Nurses Day in Tehran.
He said that the Iranian people thwarted adversaries’ plans to exploit the country’s economic, social and environmental challenges to undermine national cohesion.
He said adversaries had expected Iranian society to fall apart if the country came under attack, given its imbalances and problems.
Since the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and the succession of crises that followed, he said, adversaries had sought to weaken national unity by fueling ethnic and gender tensions and exploiting domestic divisions.
He cited electricity shortages, water problems, budget imbalances, pension challenges and environmental issues, saying the public had stood firm and frustrated those plots. However, the president warned, adversaries continued to exploit these difficulties to sow discord.
