📌 Tehran, IRNA – Manouchehr Mottaki, Head of the Executive Council of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), has protested remarks by a German parliamentarian at the IPU Assembly in Tanzania, saying they violated the assembly’s rules.
During the 153rd IPU Assembly in Tanzania on Thursday, Mottaki objected to remarks by a German parliamentarian about Iran, saying the comments violated the assembly’s rules of procedure.
He added that the Iranian delegation had officially filed a complaint with the president of the IPU, saying the incident raised suspicions that the German parliamentarian was acting in line with the objectives of the Zionist regime.
Criticizing Germany’s stance toward the Israeli regime, Mottaki stressed that the Iranian nation would not remain silent in the face of the regime’s crimes.
Referring to Iran’s martyrs, including the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, he emphasized that the Iranian nation would never forget its martyrs, adding that those responsible for the crimes must be held accountable.
