📌 Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s Intelligence Ministry says four organized street sabotage networks comprising 31 people had been identified and dismantled in Sirjan, Kerman Province.
The ministry said in a statement on Saturday that its forces in Kerman, acting on public reports and intelligence monitoring, identified and arrested the members of the networks, which were organized to disrupt public security and damage public and private property.
According to the statement, the groups were organized under names attractive to teenagers and young people, and had specific duties and plans for actively participating in nationwide unrest.
The ministry said the members also produced large quantities of Molotov cocktails and prepared tools to destroy urban surveillance cameras as they were preparing for street unrest and sabotage.
It added that the individuals had carried out extensive acts of violence and destruction during the January “coup,” including setting fire to a governorate building, damaging banks and government offices, destroying public and private property and urban cameras, and attacking a police facility in an attempt to obtain weapons.
The ministry urged citizens to report suspicious cases through its 113 hotline or official messaging channels.
