📱 iPhone 18 Pro reviews are in: great camera, better battery, no big surprises

🧐 First reviews of the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are out, and the verdict is familiar: solid upgrade, nothing revolutionary. One reviewer described it essentially as last year's Pro with a better chip, camera, and bigger battery, plus new colors to help people spot the new models.

🤝 iPhone Duo vs Xiaomi 18 Fold

📰 Xiaomi unveiled the 18 Fold in China on September 7, while Apple announced the iPhone Duo two days later. So this time it wasn't Xiaomi "copying" Apple as it literally beat it to market.

The specs:
🆕 iPhone Duo: unfolds to 7.6", 5.4" outer display, A20 Pro chip, titanium frame, 5.2mm thick, 254g. No Face ID (Touch ID is back, in the side button), no telephoto lens. Starts at $1,999 for 256GB, up to $3,199 for 2T, ships October 23.

🆕 Xiaomi 18 Fold: unfolds to 7.58", 5.38" cover screen, in-house Xring O3 chip, 5mm thick, 219g, a massive 6000mAh battery, up to 1TB storage, triple rear camera with no obvious compromises. Starts at roughly ≈$1,600 (10,999 yuan), topping out around ≈$2,050 for the 16GB/1TB config фтв still China-only for now.

🔎 On paper, Xiaomi looks like the more aggressive package: lighter, slightly thinner, bigger battery. But...

🔜 iOS 27 drops September 14 as an update, and Siri now clever got rebuilt from the ground up.

🧠 Siri now gets things done, not just answers
If give her access to your calendar and email, and she'll sort messages, book meetings, and follow a task through inside the apps you already use. Onstage demo : a guy walks through a market talking to Siri, and she builds his shopping list live.

🤖 Other new AI bits:
• Record a conversation = it turns into a structured note with action items
• Ask Siri to watch a webpage = she pings you when it changes
• Apple Watch now estimates biological age and suggests workouts

📆 The catch
Siri AI launches in beta, English only with more languages promised later this year. iPhone 15 Pro or newer. Not available in the EU or China at launch.

🤡 Samsung trolls Apple using a real guy named Tim Cook

📱 Samsung's New Zealand branch dropped (as usual) a parody video starring an actual resident of Palmerston North named Tim Cook. This full namesake of Apple's former CEO showed up on camera holding a foldable Galaxy Z Fold 8.
