🥲 Apple is planning to raise prices on the entire iPhone 17 lineup

This could be the first major increase since 2019-2020.

🤞 The company thinks to explain the price change with new chips and features. Although the real reason is the increased US trade duties.

💸 How much prices will increase, it is not yet known. If we take the current US tariffs, the base iPhone could rise in price from $799 to $959.

🕯 For the iPhone anniversary, Apple is planning to revolutionize its products

📰 According to Bloomberg, the company will have several brand new devices, which are considered inside Apple as the biggest anniversary initiatives. And the innovations will not only be on the hardware side, but also on the software side, including the AI area (honest-to-goodness).

🔎 Apple's plan for 2027:

・The first foldable iPhone with no visible bend in the internal display (for the 20th anniversary of the first iPhone);

・An all-glass iPhone with a curved body and without a single notch in the display (for the 10th anniversary of the iPhone X);

・Apple smart glasses with cameras and Visual Intelligence features to gather information about the environment (and not only about it ;) );

・New AirPods with cameras for Visual Intelligence;

・Apple Watch with a camera for Visual Intelligence;

・A desktop device with a robotic arm based on an AI-enabled smart home hub under development;

・A new foldable large device that will be something between an iPad and a Mac while still having a touchscreen (but likely in 2028);

・Two important Apple AI developments are in the pipeline: powerful server chips that will power next-generation Apple Intelligence and a cutting-edge Siri with its own LLM that should make the assistant more human-like.

💪 Mark Gurman notes that waiting for these new products will give optimism to those who are tired of boring and slow updates. Simply put: the company will once again harness long and then go fast.

💬 Believe it?

🏩 Apple Store

📰 Another gift for LEGO and Jobs fans: the fan project “LEGO Apple Store” on the LEGO Ideas platform has gathered the necessary 10 thousand votes.

🔜 This means that the set has officially moved to the stage of internal “review” from LEGO. Now we wait for their designers' decision – usually the results are announced in a few months.

Is this a great gift for Apple fans (after the iPhone 16 Pro Max, of course)?

What's known about the iPhone 2️⃣0️⃣ ?

📰 According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is likely to produce the iPhone 20 primarily in Chinese factories, contrary to expectations that the company would split production capacity between China and India.

🇹🇼 In 2027, the 20th anniversary of the first iPhone, the company is planning a major redesign of the lineup with “extremely complex” parts and new manufacturing methods that are easier to implement in China due to expertise and infrastructure.

🤔 iPhone 20 is expected to be predominantly glass.

😁 In the ad, Google points out that the Pixel had a horizontal camera bar first, before delving into other features that Apple has allegedly copied. The video is positioned as a "podcast" featuring a Pixel phone and an ‌iPhone‌.

– Hi, I'm Pixel, and this is my friend, iPhone.
– Good day.
– There are a lot of rumors circulating about iPhone's upcoming redesign.
– It's crazy. Can you imagine me doing the same thing you did first years later?

🤨 Google highlights Night Mode, Clean Up, and widgets as examples of features that were available on Android first. The video wraps up with the ‌iPhone‌ copying a line that the Pixel says first: "We want to remind everyone that these rumors are just rumors."
