📰 Nissan confirms new Skyline launch date

🆕 The 14th-generation Nissan Skyline will debut in December 2026, CEO Ivan Espinosa told Asahi Shimbun, calling it "one of the icons of the renaissance of Nissan."

🔧 The car (internally dubbed V38) will be built at Nissan's Tochigi plant in Japan, developed in just 26 months using generative AI (about half the usual cycle).

🎨 Teasers show an aggressive front end, GT-R-style round taillights, and design cues from the classic Hakosuka, marking the Prince Skyline's 70th anniversary.

🐎 No specs yet, but expect a V6 (likely the VR30DDTT) with a possible manual option. The V38 platform may also underpin a future Infiniti Q50 successor.

📅 The timing lines up with the Nismo Festival at Fuji Speedway on December 6, though Nissan hasn't confirmed that as the reveal venue.

🤖 BMW brings humanoid robot to production

📰 BMW Group is deploying humanoid robot Figure 03 (built by Figure AI) at its Plant Spartanburg in South Carolina, USA. This follows an 11-month pilot with the predecessor, Figure 02, which supported production of more than 30,000 BMW X3 vehicles in the body shop.

🤖 The new robot takes on a more complex job: it picks unsorted components from large containers and sorts them into a trolley in the exact order needed for assembly, which is then delivered to the production line. What's new in Figure 03:

🔋 wireless charging
🗣 speech-to-speech voice interaction
🧵 soft exterior materials for safer human-robot collaboration

🏭 BMW calls Plant Spartanburg the "birthplace" of humanoid robotics in its daily manufacturing operations — a similar pilot is now also rolling out at the Leipzig plant in Germany.

🚘 Lamborghini dropped another Super Veloce and this time it's the Revuelto SV

A track-focused version of the Revuelto that will probably never see a track.

🐎 Total output: 1,050 hp, coming from the V12 plus three electric motors, sent to all four wheels. Visually it looks like someone forgot when to stop adding vents and wings, but apparently that's exactly what the target audience wants.

💸 Starting price: $741,172. Before options, obviously. Lamborghini will build just 1,963 units not a random number, it's the year the brand was founded.

💸 One of the most expensive modern BMWs ever – Speedtop

Topped only by the legendary 3.0 CSL (~€750,000).

ℹ️ It's a limited small-series model based on the M8, with only 70 units worldwide and every single one is already sold.

Under the hood: the 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 from the M8 Competition, putting out 625 horsepower. The body is a striking two-door shooting brake with newly designed 20- and 21-inch wheels and a dramatic gradient roof finish fading from maroon to silver.

Price tag: approx. €500,000.

🆕 New BMW X5 gets a hydrogen version

📰 BMW has revealed the design of the iX5 Hydrogen, based on the new G65-generation X5. Series production of the crossover is set to begin in 2028.

Key specs:
• Hydrogen powertrain with up to 750 km range (WLTP)
• Seven tanks holding 7 kg of hydrogen at 700 bar
• Full refueling takes about 5 minutes

🔋 The previous-gen hydrogen X5 was built only as a limited test batch this time, BMW plans to make it available to private buyers.

💦 Mercedes' electric G-Class could learn to swim

📰 Mercedes-Benz has filed a patent for a system that would let its two-axle off-roader (widely assumed to be the electric G-Class) float and travel across water.

How it works:
🔹 Removable inflatable or foam inserts hide inside the wheel arches for buoyancy, with volume adjustable per corner to balance uneven loads or currents;
🔹 The steerable wheels double as rudders;
🔹 The G 580's four independent electric motors vary torque per wheel and even spinning them in opposite directions to steer and help the vehicle climb back onto shore;
🔹 Inserts could even be stored in the spare-wheel recess and inflated using the car's own tire compressor.

😁 No production plans are attached yet as it's just a pure patent filing, but the GTA "floating car" cheat code might not be pure fantasy for much longer.
