Last Sunday, InterSTEM and Freshman Research Institute held its first ever astro-night event.

🔭 Our students stargazed under the night sky and got hands-on experience with the astronomical equipment. They learned all about a telescope’s structure which helped us explore the universe.

🚀 Today we welcomed an amazing guest, Dr. Augustin Viot, who conducted a seminar about his academic journey and general advices for studies at the freshman office! Here are some of the highlights!

🔭 ASTRONOMY NIGHT🔭

InterSTEM and the Freshman Research Institute are holding its first astro-night event on September 13th, 7 PM at the Freshman Office where you will be able to learn about a telescope's structure and stargaze with a real-life telescope! Drinks and snacks will be included!

🎓 Seminar on Computer Science and Neural Networks

We are delighted to invite and welcome Dr. Viot Augustin who is going to be conducting an exclusive seminar. During the seminar, Dr. Augustin will share an overview of his professional journey and we will dive deeper into the fields of computer science and AI (neural networks specifically).

Dr. Viot Augustin holds three master's degrees and a double PhD in Information and Systems Sciences and Technology and Computer Science from the University of Sorbonne (Paris, France) and the University of Genoa (Genoa, Italy), and was a lab assistant at the LBNL (Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Berkeley Lab).
