IDF: In accordance with the IDF Chief of the General Staff’s directive: 98th Division Headquarters to operate in Judea and Samaria and assume command of the Judea and Etzion Brigades

Following a situational assessment and in accordance with the directive of the IDF Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir, it was decided that the 98th Division Headquarters will operate in Judea and Samaria and assume command of the Judea and Etzion Brigades.

The activation of the division headquarters in the area is part of strengthening command and control, in order to enhance defensive and offensive capabilities in Judea and Samaria.

This comes after recent events in Judea and Samaria and the need to enhance security during this tense period.

The IDF continues to conduct ongoing situational assessments in accordance with the operational situation.
