While Delhi hosts the BRICS Summit, the Asian Dialogue is discussing what the new world order will look like 🌐

The second day in Delhi focused on the key factors that are reshaping the global economy and international relations today.

We discussed:

🟠who will benefit most from the technological revolution;
🟠whether sustainable development can be reconciled with energy security, and how the global energy market will evolve;
🟠what is happening to key transport routes and energy hubs;
🟠whether global trade is heading towards new rules of the game and, if so, what role states and international institutions will play.

The discussions brought together experts from Russia, India, Indonesia, Iran, and Kyrgyzstan. They represented organizations and research centers including IMEMO RAS, Observer Research Foundation, Esya Centre, ICRIER, Manav Rachna University, the Institute for Iran and Eurasia Studies, and others.

And in the evening, it was time to leave the conference room behind and explore Delhi. We’ll be sharing all about it soon!

From Tashkent straight to Delhi! 🇮🇳

On September 9, our scientific and educational programme Asian Dialogue — 2026 kicked off in the Indian capital. The programme is organised by the Gorchakov Fund in partnership with the Observer Research Foundation (ORF).

✅ This year’s programme focuses on the shifting balance of power and the emergence of a new world order.

The participants include young researchers, journalists, analysts and international affairs experts from Russia, India and other Asian countries.

The first day featured the opening ceremony, followed by discussions on the transformation of the global system and the role of the Global South.

Welcome remarks were delivered by:

🟠Vladimir Ladanov, Minister Counsellor at the Embassy of Russia in India;
🟠Sunjoy Joshi, Chairman of the ORF;
🟠Pankaj Saran, former Deputy National Security Adviser of India;
🟠Elena Remizova, Head of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in India;
🟠Sergey Orlov, Deputy Executive Director of the Gorchakov Fund.

What was on the agenda?

➡️The prospects for a polycentric world order and the role of international organisations
➡️The concept of civilisation-states and the influence of non-state actors on shaping public narratives
➡️The prospects for cooperation between Russia and South Asian countries across various fields

Following the expert discussions, participants moved on to the youth track. More discussions, new ideas and a joint search for practical solutions lie ahead as the programme continues!

International BRICS School: New Generation — Registration Is Still Open!

The BRICS–Russia Expert Council invites young professionals to take part in the 10th International BRICS School: New Generation.

Over the past ten years, the School has brought together more than 1,000 young professionals from 60+ countries, building an international community of young experts interested in the development of BRICS.

Looks like Latin America just got a little closer! 🌎

The second School on Latin America has come to an end in Volgograd — a Gorchakov Fund educational and research programme dedicated to the region. The project was organised together with the Institute of Latin America of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Center for Public Diplomacy at Volgograd State University.

📕 Over five days, more than 30 participants from different regions of Russia and other countries joined experts to explore how Latin America is changing and what new opportunities are emerging for Russia–Latin America cooperation.

What happened at the School?

✔️ Explored the region’s politics, economics and international relations with Russian experts and diplomats
✔️ Learned how the media landscape works in Latin America
✔️ Discussed how to launch international projects and build partnerships across borders
✔️ Worked in teams on their own projects — from a nuclear medicine startup to an educational initiative
✔️ And, of course, discovered Volgograd and its historical heritage

Five days, dozens of ideas, plenty of new connections — and, perhaps, even more questions about where Russia – Latin America relations are heading next.
